9/11/2021 - He in us and we in Him

This just might revolutionize your prayer life.

A most wonderful fact which God's Word teaches us is that now... even now and always... 'But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesusthat in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.' Eph 2:4

It would take many pages to give this passage the attention it deserves but I only want to look at one phrase: '...and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus'

9/9/21 - Again, He Didn't Come

Ok... so He didn't come this 'Trumpets'

Never be discouraged!

I write this during the final hour of Feast of Trumpets 2021.  Once more, many have been disappointed and disillusioned because Jesus Christ didn't come for us during this year's Feast of Trumpets... just as they've been disappointed after every 'Blood Moon' and after every other unusual occurrence in the Heavens or on Earth.

We knew He could have come; nothing in Prophecy is yet to be fulfilled and yet, in one sense, I didn't expect Him to come because I did expect Him to come: 'Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.' Matt 24:44  I guess the 'trick' is to never expect Him but to always be ready... or something like that...

But weren't we right to earnestly look for and expect Him?

8/29/21 - He Did It For Me

He did it for me...

I've come simply to tell you what I've seen and heard, what I know to be true.

Surely Jesus Christ is Lord, He is the Son of God, He is the King over all.

Some time back, we walked with Him and heard Him speak.  He told of His coming Kingdom when He would rule over all the Earth.  We heard Him but I'm not sure we really believed Him, at least not at that time...

One night we were all in the garden of Gethsemane and He went off a ways, to pray; I went with Him but I kept falling asleep... He continued to pray and I continued to fall asleep.  As I look back on that time, I feel so ashamed... why couldn't I just have stayed awake for a few hours to pray with Him!?

Finally, He woke me and said, 'It's time.'  I said, 'Time for what... what do you mean?'

9/6/21 This Could Be the Day!

As I write this, the time is 8:30 am, Monday, Sept 6.  In 25 minutes, the sun will set in Jerusalem and the two days of 'Feast of Trumpets,' Rosh Hashanah, Israel's New Year will begin.  The Feast of Trumpets is also known as 'the Wedding of the Messiah!'

We know Who the Messiah is and we know His Bride because we are His Bride!

Jesus said, that no one knows the day or the hour of His return for us and that very phrase always pertains to the Feast of Trumpets; it is celebrated over two days; no one knows the exact time of its beginning because it begins when the one watching, in Jerusalem, finally sees the tiny sliver of the New Moon begin to rise in the East.  Then, he goes back and reports to the High Priest and so it begins.

We don't know the day or the hour but

6/11/21 - Trials

As many already know, earlier this week, the elders of our church removed me from teaching The Bereans, the adult Sunday School class we've loved and been part of for several years.  The main reason given was that I was causing division and that, mainly because I teach a firm pre-millennial dispensational understanding of the End Times and that anything else is wrong.  In other words, that the Lord Jesus Christ will, at any moment, come down into the clouds and call us up to Himself; 'For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.  Therefore comfort one another with these words.' 1Thes 4:15.
